The system receives county and state events from reporting agencies. Registration may be anonymous, and MDOC says anyone may use the general SAVIN registration route.

The event time may differ from the physical exit time because staff must enter or transmit the update. A notice is not a certified release order. If the exact date, type, or destination matters, call the custodian and request its release entry.

- When a notice arrives, record its exact words and reporting agency, then confirm the event with that agency or the court.
Email and text users should follow the verification shown on the current screen. A phone user should only use a PIN if the interface asks for one. This conditional wording matters because Mississippi's published material does not document a PIN as a fixed step for every registration.

VINE Follows Jefferson Davis Transfers

Note: Registration Link can preserve notice continuity, but it does not merge county, state, federal, and immigration records into one certified file.
Jefferson Davis Release Registry Limits
The Mississippi Public Sex Offender Registry is a separate and narrow state channel. It is not part of the general VINE custody search, and it is not a list of all people released from Jefferson Davis County custody. The registry applies only to people who have a legal duty to register after a qualifying conviction. An arrest, jail booking, VINE profile, or release event alone does not create that duty.
The official Mississippi registry supports name, distance-from-address, and ZIP searches. DPS says a qualifying record can include a photograph, aliases, primary residence, conviction date, and offense. Miss. Code § 45-33-27 places registration steps on MDOC before release of a qualifying state prisoner and requires further reporting after release. For MDOC, compare the inmate search, active parolee search, and Records response. A prison page with an institution or unit still indicates MDOC custody even if it shows a future date.
